The Name Best Forgotten

Peter Devlin
I was never that sure if i liked him or not, but then Peter was always that sort of character. You know, not to hot and not to cold. I veered on the cold side.
He always seemed to find excuses for what was blatantly inexcusable, and seemed too willing to accommodate discriminatory and vindictive activity against opposition councillors. Suffice to say when it was announced that he would be leaving at the end of March, I was somewhat indifferent.
So hearing rumours of comments coming from the mob such as "Its about bloody time" and "He should have gone sooner" did peek my curiosity, if only in passing.
However there seems to be more here. Peter seems to have triggered the full wrath of the mob, which has shown up in its usual childish and spiteful way. It seems he is to be quickly "Forgotten" and his name erased from history, or to be more precise, the notice board outside the Civic Centre.
Cost being no obstacle to spite, the mob is prepared to pay over £100 of your money, to have a contractor make a special trip to the civic to complete the ugly task. All this despite that fact that they will pay the same contractor a second time to update the same board when despicable Beck receives his payment in gold and steps down as mayor, to make way for the next miscreant.
